Kit Moves in With Luco

Kit toed off his shoes and tossed himself down on the double bed in the rather nice sized guest room. Ohhhh soft. Wow. He stretched out his lithe frame, snuggling down into the soft comforter top, and sighed. He only had vague memories of a real bed. Even when he stayed with Sims he had to sleep on an old futon. This was a bed with that box springs and sheets that smelled like they had been washed recently. Nice. The entire room looked pristine and guest like with pictures on the wall and everything.

Furrowing his brow, Kit thought about his new situation. He thought that he would just hide out in the empty apartment for the day until his clothes dried, then go see if he could make some cash with the scraps he found or see if he could get some construction work. It was easier to find work looking a little ragged but clean. But something must have given him away because he had barely put on his now dry jeans when he heard someone stomping up the stairs.

As quick as he could, Kit scuttled up into the attic and found himself a box to roll up into. Piling himself with some really rank blankets--was cat piss?-- he waited the two out. They were pretty violent folks. The chickie had a gun and seemed to really want to shoot something. The big guy was all for breaking down the front door--which was weird since he turned out to be the security and probably had a key. It wasn't until that nice laid back guy Luco came up that he felt safe enough to come out and see if he could maneuver the situation to something workable. If it wasn't for that crazy lady with the gun, he would have felt better working the situation but damn she was scary for someone so short. Most women made him a little cautious-- they were so unpredictable-- but this one made him twitchy.

Luco seemed like a nice guy. Not like most pushers from big cities. And he didn't use any of those suggestions or hints that gave Kit a clue what he wanted. He had protected him from the crazy lady with the gun and got rid of the police. Then he entrusted his crazy friends to Kit to drive home. Yeah, Kit figured he screwed that up. Especially with that Jacob guy. At first Kit couldn't figure what was wrong. Jacob was Luco's friend--maybe benefactor since Luco lived on his property. He was tense and drunk off his ass and clearly upset. Kit thought Luco would want him to help Jacob out but Jacob flipped. Really seriously like Kit was attacking him or something. Then when Luco took him home he gave him his own room with a locked door and said he would find him some clothes.

Luco was nice and Kit liked him. Maybe he really was a nice guy that was just lonely and wanted someone around? Maybe that's why he hung around such strange people. Ghosts? Vampires? Rich assholes could afford to be bonkers it seemed. Even so far as to arrange a bomb stunt. Sheesh. Luco seemed to just take it in stride and almost like he was organizing the kook party. Maybe he was. They talked about some dead people. Maybe he stumbled on a rich person's murder mystery game party and Luco was hosting it. Maybe that's why he lived at the estate. He was the party arranger. That did kind of make sense. Kit vaguely remembered a masquerade party when he was little. It lasted all weekend and he got to go out on lake in his pirate outfit, standing on the prow and waiving a plastic sword. Kit scowled. He didn't like thinking about the past.

Well regardless of his job, Luco seemed to want to be nice to everyone. He sure had been great to Kit making it seem like he didn't want anything in return. Kit knew there were people like that out there, just not the ones he generally attracted the attention of. Sim's hadn't been too bad-- he just needed company while he drank himself to death feeling sorry for his freaked up past. Having a boy to get his booze and make sure he changed his sheets when he pissed them, and listen to his ramblings, made him happy. Luco might not know what he needed yet, but Kit could find out. Everyone needed something different and this was a nice place and Luco a nice guy. Something to think on... Or just sleep on. Kit rolled over and enjoyed the clean linen scent of the pillow as he fell asleep.
